Nungwi is Zanzibar’s liveliest beach, and the only stretch where the tide barely retreats, so you can swim at any hour. It is also the island’s dhow-building village, which is why the sunsets here come with a fleet of hand-built sailing boats in the foreground.

Arrival – Zanzibar Airport to Stone Town
Met at Zanzibar International Airport and transferred to your Stone Town hotel, with the evening free for a first wander through the historic district.

Day 2
Stone Town Cultural Tour
A full-day guided exploration of the old town including the House of Wonders and the Sultan’s Palace, with an afternoon boat excursion to Prison Island and its giant tortoises.

Day 3
Transfer to Nungwi Beach
Travel north to Nungwi and check in at your beach resort, with the rest of the day free for the sand and the sea.

Nungwi Beach — Leisure & Activities
Three unstructured days. Optional snorkelling and diving on the northern reefs, a dhow sunset cruise, village and dhow-yard tours, a Swahili cooking class and traditional taarab performances.
