7 Days Rongai Route – Mount Kilimanjaro Climb

7 Days

Overview

The Rongai Route is the only trail that ascends Kilimanjaro from the north, near the Kenyan border. It remains less traveled than other routes, offering climbers a quieter, more remote experience. The trail gradually climbs through unspoiled rainforest, across heath and alpine desert, to the stunning Mawenzi peak and onto the “Saddle” before the final summit push. With fewer crowds, consistent scenery, and drier conditions (ideal in the rainy season), Rongai is a fantastic choice for first-timers or those seeking solitude. The descent is via the scenic Marangu Route.
