Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport

Moshi is one of the tourism centers in the northern safari circuit of Tanzania. The closest tourist spots are Kilimanjaro National Park, Mkomazi National Park, Lake Jipe, and Lake Chala. There are also several waterfalls, natural springs, and tropical forests. Tours can also be arranged from Moshi to other areas such as Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, and Tarangire National Park. The city has several hotels and recreation centers.

Day 02: Full Day Moshi

After breakfast depart for Cultural tour at Metruni Village, Lunch in Moshi town and depart for Moshi City Tour.

A tour of Materuni Village and Waterfalls is a great way to spend a day away from the bustle of town life. It is an opportunity to see how local fruits like avocados, mangos, lemons, and bananas grow, as well as learn some of the local history, traditions, village economy, and agricultural and cultural life. When you get to the waterfall, you can refresh yourself in the natural pool, so swimsuits will come in handy! The tour will continue with a visit to the local village lying in the coffee plantations. The villagers will demonstrate the process of coffee farming and guide you through the preparation of coffee from a bean to a cup. Sing and dance along with the Chaga people as they are grinding, roasting and boiling the beans. When the coffee is ready, villagers will serve lunch – a national Chagga meal.

Day 03: Moshi/ Arusha National Park/ Arusha

Drive to arusha for Arusha National Park, Waking safari, and game drive

Experience a walking safari. Safari in the Arusha National Park means light trekking with a ranger. You will walk in the tropical forest and watch animals outside the car. The most amazing thing is that you will be able to walk up to the crater of Meru (the second-highest peak in Tanzania and the fifth-highest peak of Africa) which is located right in the park. This is a fantastic experience, worth adding to your Tanzanian adventures!

Day 04: Arusha/ Tarangire National Park

Morning drive to Tarangire National Park for game drive, Picnic lunch.

The park is famous for its high density of elephants and baobab trees. Visitors to the park in the June to November dry season can expect to see large herds of thousands of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo. Other common resident animals include waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant’s gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Predators in Tarangire include lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog.

Day 05: Tarangire National Park/ Mto wa Mbu/ Karatu

Bustling with a variety of cultures from around Tanzania, the little town of Mto Wa Mbu lies at the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park. A local agricultural hub, the town is famous for its crops of rice and the distinctive red bananas that Tanzania is known for. A half-day tour of the town in the company of a local guide gives travelers the opportunity to interact with local farmers, as well as artisans, craftsmen and painters.

Day 06: Karatu/ Serengeti National Park

Morning departs to Serengeti National Park through Ngorongoro Highlands. Picnic lunch.

The Serengeti supports an incredible abundance and diversity of wildlife, from the Big Five (although black rhinos are rarely seen) to giraffes, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, black-backed jackals, warthogs, and a huge variety of antelope. The Grumeti and Mara Rivers are home to grunting hippos and gigantic prehistoric-looking crocs, known for their feeding frenzy during the annual wildebeest river crossings. Serengeti National Park offers what many consider the essence of an African safari. Massive animal herds march across the wide-open savannah as far as you can see, while predators never fail to add drama to this idyllic scene.
